I got up early this morning because I had so much to do before going to the airport to pick up Spencer at 2pm. I did a load of laundry, packed up "Christmas", and then got a nice surprise . At 9am there was a knock on my door and there stood a lady with an enormous basket of fruit and other goodies sent by friends Karen and Bob for the boys and I to enjoy. Between that and all of Joanne's goodies I don't know why I am bothering to cook!
After stopping at a few stores - where , by the way, parking was available and there were plenty of cashiers which made the long lines move swiftly - I arrived at the cell phone lot at the airport with 35 minutes to spare. Spencer's plane was right on time and as soon as we greeted each other we were off to see Owen and have lunch at Big Daddy's.
Owen had to work until 5:30 so I took Spencer to Old Scottsdale. We had fun walking around town, looking at the bronze statues of horses displayed on various street corners, and browsing in the art galleries and western wear shops.
Eventually we got to Owen's apartment, had a drink, chatted and watched football. We are spending tonight in the RV and the next two days in Owen's apartment complex . It's hard to believe that it is time to celebrate another Christmas.
