|Have spent the last two days beaching, hanging out at the hotel, checking out the town, eating, sleeping reading... been indulging in the laziness of this small, very beautiful island. I am staying at a great guest house Narzi Nipah Camp. It has a quaint little reggae bar and a great common area so everyone hangs out in the evenings and there are all different nationalities and all really great people. I am here with Meg and Greg from the UK. Meg finishes her trip in a week, home for christmas and Greg is on to New Zealand. Amanda and Zac are a couple from Canada and I hopefully will catch up with them again in Melaka before they head to Indonesia. There's Duncan From the UK and i he seems a big of a play it by the day kind of guy Hector is from Lithuania and his French girlfriend Lucy have been hanging out here for the last week and Hector has decided to take a management job here so I guess they will be here for a while.
We headed to the beach yesterday, the weather was perfect- the water- not the slightest bit hard to dive right in. Zac and I swam to a little Island about 400m from shore and had a little explore through the rough manmade path through the foliage- it was basically straight up the hill- then straight down to the other side of the island. The Rock pools were disappointing though- I was hoping they wold be alive and colourful but there was not even crabs!
A new crew arrived to day from the UK and USA and we headed to the town where I bought the most delicious fruit, had some look and went on a book hunt- to no avail!
it was overcast today-rained this morning- but still it was hot enough to have a swim this afternoon. Was going to head north tomorrow but i think i will stay one more day...
