|Kathryn wanted to be married in an old church surrounded by vineyards. She found Holy Family Mission Church in Rutherford as the perfect spot. It was built in 1928. Inside it held all the warmth and glow she had envisioned. Beautiful flower arrangements of apricots, salmons, pinks and purple stood at the alter and hung from the pews. The bridal bouquet also had purple sweet peas to honor her Grandmother’s favorite flower. Deacon Chuck said that this was his first time to officiate at a marriage ceremony and told Carlo not to be nervous. Carlo replied it was his first marriage too. This bought a laugh to all. David, last year’s groom, took video while Mike rang the large bell outside to announce the new Mr. and Mrs. Pianese.
