Nicola's Eastern Adventure travel blog

15th October

Woke up to doscover the bat place was shut so we headed straight up to cape tribulation beach where there was a minuture forest of mangroves right on the water break on the beach. Matt waded out where it was still shallow and spotted a shark, on our way back out there was a komono dragon just in the leaves hanging around for ages almost biting matt and being harassed by a crow and then on the boardwalk a snake darted out in front of me! Good day for wildlife. Filulfilled we made our way back down and crossed the ferry (avoiding paying) and back into the Atherton tabelands, we stopped off for Louise to see the curtain fig and Millaa Millaa falls and then found our first free camping site! It was a revive and survive stop with an unhealthy BBQ, fly covered toilets and cane toad infested picnic tables. We were just on a hight because it was free and played cards outside, so as not to use our electric on the light, as long as we could stand the bugs.
