Well...seeing all the crops growing along the highway, I set to work seeing what I could find out about them. To say that the friendliest people in the world live in Texas certainly is a true statement. I first called the Agriculture Extension Office in Lubbock and spoke with a gentleman named Mark. He pointed me in the direction of several people who could show us around and see things being harvested up close and personal. One of the most informative pieces of information he gave me was to go to http://www.cotton.org/pubs/cottoncounts/fieldtofabric/index.cfm and see how cotton is grown from field to fabric. It is a very interesting presentation. Mike and I so enjoy things like this and to learn about agriculture in different areas of the country. We have many exciting things to share with you during our stay in Lubbock.
