Today we are driving to Chetek, Wisconsin to spend a few days with our friends, Bob and Eunice Dewey. We met them several years ago in Texas and have been friends ever since.

Before we got to their house, we stopped at Leinenkugal Brewery in Chippewa Falls to take a tour. A nice little brewery and not bad beer.

We arrived at Bob and Eunice's on Wednesday afternoon and they took us out for a boat ride on some of the many lakes that are in Chetek. We had a great time seeing their town, eating at a nice local restaurant and meeting some of their friends. It began to rain not long after we arrived and by the time is was done a day later, Chetek had received over 4". Not too bad considering the poor folks in southern Wisconsin and Minnesota who got as much as 10".

On Friday morning we all drove up to their "cabin" near Barnes, Wisconsin. They call it a cabin, we call it a very nice house. You can sit on the deck and look at their own private lake. On Saturday we all went to breakfast in Delta, WI at the Delta Diner. We had to include a photo of Paul's Mexican breakfast - grilled jalapeno cornbread topped with eggs and a green chile sauce. In the afternoon we all went 4-wheeling. We had a blast.

Before we took off for Duluth on Sunday morning, Eunice made us Eggs Benedict. Hope to see our friends again in Texas this winter.
