|we left the gilbert river after a hot night. we have decided to head for archer creek free camp. we pulled in for feul at georgetown. the local lady told us about the hot springs at innot. she said just dig a hole and relax in the creek beside the pub and caravan park. that sounded like a good idea. we could do with some relaxing. we found the springs, they were as the lady said, only difference was john didn't have to dig a whole. we walked up the creek first and we burnt our feet in the water. john even had a blister on the sole of his foot. john found a whole and laid down to soak in it. he said it was great but when he got out he looked like he had been cooked. bronson had tried to go in the water but stay with me on the edge. hot flushes and hot springs not go well together. we travelled a little further to archer creek stop. good camp but alot of tall grass around. john walked through the grass to get to the creek and even he was afraid of snakes. i went for a walk and found a safe pulic entry to the creek. the creek was just beautiful. some people were fishing. the water was as clear as. we made camp beside a family with 4 kids from wa. bronson and the kids got on really well. the kids were missing their dog and bronson was up for a play. it was a good match.stayed the night and that was the 15th julu.
