Gang out and about

The weekend gave me a unique opportunity to reunite with a high school friend, Irene. In many ways it seems like taking off where we left.

The mission to pick up the rental car was stress-free and I was thrilled to drive a comfortable black Astra. At least I had enough room in the drivers seat- not so sure about the three lovely ladies in the back not to mention Shaun (Annie’s cousin) jammed in the front. So with NavMan at my side we found our way to the beautiful town of Tenby. It has a vibrant but relaxed feel about the town. The beaches had lovely golden sand and spectacular houses lining the dramatic cliff face. I certainly didn’t think I was in Britain, it had the charm of how I would imagine Greece. After savouring the seafood we headed back east to spend the night in Swansea- a retreat. It made me feel all grown up in the BnB. The evening was filled with fun games and company. A morning walk refreshed the soul while photographing abundant Bluebells. On the return to Pentrych some of us still hadn’t had enough of the Glee CD- many thanks Catriona.

Although the weather is getting slightly warmer it still hasn’t stopped a cold and the ash cloud from returning. I have spent the week rebooking after the BA strikes. I hope the holiday planned for next week goes through.

Look forward to returning to the keyboard in a couple of weeks with more adventures to tell.
