A Travel Day.
We woke to overcast skies and a low temperature of 49 degrees. The forecast calls for an expected high temperature of 80 degrees today. Thunderstorms may develope later in the day.
After enjoying several of Janet Tobey's homebakes blueberry mufins. I am ready to hitch-up.
We have a nice easy trip to make today of just 150 miles northeast to Whitehall, NY.
The trip north was uneventful. There was much more traffic than I expected on the Adirondack Northway.
We pulled into the Whitehall Marina & RV Park just afternoon. We finally located a handyman who told us to park anywhere I wanted - but - I had already spoken to the new manager and was informed that certain sites were not available. After meeting with the manager we were given a list of suitable sites to choose from. We are the first ones here, so we had our choice of several sites. We finally settled on a site and proceeded to get unhitched and set up. You would have thought it was our first time doing this.
After getting our cabin on wheels leveled up and unhooked, I discovered that I was several feet short of the electical box. We had to hook-up and pulled forward a few feet then re-level. I took some time but we are finally settled in for the summer.
We have a nice backyard view of the channel and between some large trees that will offer some shade.
Later in the afternoon we walked to the local Stewart's Shop for ice cream. Our first night in camp was very quiet and peaceful.
On Monday we will meet with the manager and get officially signed in for the season.
We look forward to seeing old friends tomorrow.
This will be my last notice sent out for awhile. I will continue to occasionally post an entry now and then if we have some new pics to post or news of our activities here.
Drop us a note now and then to let us know how you are.
Have a nice summer everyone.
