A missed shot against our FC

Match play

This shot from Daniel Z started the scoring!

FC get's scored on...this shot rings off the top bar and goes...

A typical battle

Throw in....

More match play...

We played against a tier 2 team call Legmeervogels on their home pitch. It was about a 45 minute drive from our hotel into the heart of a flower production district....greenhouses, distribution plans etc.

Robbie predicted either a 1-1 tie or a 2-1 win, but that they'd be tougher than what we're used to. Santi was confident we'd win 2-1. In a way they were both right.

In the end it was a 5-2 win. They were tough, using a lot of upper body physical play...shoving, pushing. And more verbal taunts than what we're used to. The play went back and forth with the advantage to our FC.

Many slept on the bus as we headed back to the hotel 9:30pm at night. Then a late night plate of pasta and they hit the sack.

A few pics are included. The position of the sun for just a short period of time mean that not every player could be included in the photos. But hopefully you can get a sense for what it was like.
