Rocky tucks dad into bed

Ugh! We are stuffed. We spent the day reading the Sunday paper, watching football, and eating with Sue and Manuel. We had huge deli sandwiches for lunch with chips and dip, egg nog with brandy and fruit cake for an afternoon snack, and then lasagna, rolls and salad for dinner. Too much food! We have been over-eating for the past week!

It rained for most of the day. I helped Manuel set up his new Garmin GPS that he got for his birthday. I will be impressed if he ever actually uses it. I told him if he could figure out how to set all the timers on their new oven (which he does), he could figure out how to use the GPS.

It is supposed to be partly sunny tomorrow and consequently, not as cold. We will attempt to head south on Tuesday between storms and hopefully, miss the famous San Joaquin Valley fog. We talked to friends in Tahoe who reported that it has snowed for the past couple of days with highs in the 30's. We are disappointed not to be able to visit there.

The kids continue to be confused and a little stressed that we are gone all day while we are Sue's. They are happy that we show up at dinner time and Rocky has taken to sleeping with us after pestering John when he first goes to bed. Mimi continues to appreciate sleeping in her snuggy.

We are getting hitch itch and are looking forward to the beach.
