Crean's and the Guys' adventure travel blog

It was a hellish night- strong gusty winds and increasing rain made for a noisy night. This morning the rain was heavier so we decided to start heading north east towards Provence. Again the scenery was beautiful although the mist and rain made it difficult to see much. We first took 30 mins to take a circuitous route that brought us up on to the motorway that crossed the viaduct of Millau- quite an amazing engineering feat. By 1pm the rain and mist had made driving difficult so we stopped at a roadside hotel/restaunrant and treated ourselves to a slap up dinner. Boy what a treat we were in for. Brian requested q couple of dishes that reflected the regions cuisine: the first was a salad of lettuce, walnuts, bason, tomatoes and small pasta squares, with 3 slices of baguette on top of which was melted goats cheese. Very tasty. This was followed by a grilled trout covered in toasted almond slices, and accompanied by rice and baked stuffed tomatoes. It was probably one of the best meals weve had. As we had also drank half a bottle of rose we hit the pit for a snoozy afternoon!

(Dinner was soup and desert...)
