|Many fields of sunflowers again, and on our cycle back yesterday >I had my third feed of blackberries- yum. Our mooring was again under some trees, and a lovely still night meant dinner on top, and a good nights sleep.
27 Aug. Tok our time cruising- thru farmland, mostly orchards, but still treelined portions. Several areas pass close to the rail lines and the train drivers toot as they cscream pass. We stooped finally at Mossaic in a lovely marina set right in town. Ventured to a cafe for lunch then wandered to a secondhand market where I found myself a cool shirt for E1. A lazy hot day and evening- bliss.
A very hhot day followed, no breeze, as we left Moissac and began our return descent to Agen. Coming down thru the lock is quicker and easier- no turbulence, plus we are experts now! Made a stop at Valence dÁgen to check out the village properly, and made a stop for a beer at a cafe. Discovered that the owner had played rugby for France and his walls were lined with jerseys and memorabilia, including arugby jersey from Hamilton. He served us complimentary peanuits and delicious olives stuffed with anchovies. Continued on our way back to Agen- it has been so hot that we have been in our togs, taking a shower and then just staying in them till we dry off. Arrived at Age, moored, and i stepped straight off and stood under the hose - beooootiful!
