Friday, July 24

Travel day again, going north to NY. The plan was to stay at a state park, but the park was full, being Friday night. It was only another 50 miles to Diane’s sisters home in West Falls, NY and she called ahead and asked if we could join them. So after we had a bit to eat at a café, we drove into West Falls, near Rochester. They have a huge place, I think they said about 58 acres, grassy, neat farm house, barn, dogs, a horse, chickens and a golf cart for driving through the woods and fields. Barb and Tom have four foster kids still at home. It looks like a great place for kids. We are camped in their gravel driveway by the wood pile. And they have a huge wood pile. They have always heated with wood. It is an outside stove, heat piped into the home underground. Awesome.

Saturday, July 25

Nice day it was. Just relaxing at the Newberry campground. Visiting with the family, exploring the property, and just having a nice time. Barb and Tom and family fixed a wonderful steak dinner and we played games in the evening. Diane’s brother, Tom was there and Barb’s daughter, Leia and her husband, George, and their girls were also there. A fun time, and we were spoiled again.

Sunday, July 26

Started the day right with Church, Faith Baptist Church, Diane’s brother, Tom’s church. Mike, Diane, John and I joined him. It was a nice service and nice people. I don’t think I have been to many Baptist Churches. After church we went out to lunch with Tom and his friend Terry. Then Diane showed us around Hamburg, where she was raised. Just another good day. The evening was spent visiting and enjoying Ice cream.
