The canopy walk

Getting a push from Uncle Mark on a vine swing

The rescue boat!

After a few days in KL seeing the sights, we headed north to Taman Negara National Park, the oldest rainforest in the world. We started our trek on a really fun canopy roped walkway 30 meters above the forest - a little nerve racking but very fun - and great photos. Still up for continued adventure we decided to try another trail, thinking we could pretty easily do a 7.5 K trek. Several hours later, no water and nearly vertical climbing we decided to turn back. We finally were "rescued" at a small beach not ALL the way back to where we began. I have never been this HOT in my life. All of us looked as if we stepped out of the shower in our clothes. The upshot is we enjoyed some good Malaysian food and ice blend drinks.

All six of us headed back to the larger town where we separated, Bark and Kristen heading to KL to fly to Phucket for some beach time and the four of us to the Perhentain Islands for the same.
