We now have electricity! That means air conditioning and being able to operate my computer without running the generator. We are at the Kern River now in Kernville east of of Bakersfield. As I write this it is 105 degrees in the shade. Sunday when we got here it was 114 degrees, yesterday 111 and today it is cooling down to 106! Fortunately we have the river to cool off in as we float down in inner tubes. We are camped right at the last rapid before the river empties into Lake Isabella. We get a nice little float trip several times a day.
