Hmm, so that's what grasshoppers taste like . . .

One of the monks at the temple

Hey everyone -

We arrived in Bangkok and got to our friends at about 12:30 am but weren't smart enough to go right to bed and sat up and talked until 3 am - so we continued to be jet lagged for several days after.

Happy 4th of july!!

We enjoyed a great market (ate fried grasshoppers) and saw the royal temple the next day. The royal temple is only opened one day per year and we happened to hit it. A monk was also being ordained that day so we got to join his family in the celebration. We were told several times how lucky we were!

Onto Hanoi tomorrow.
