The Bus is in Carmichael, CA

Drivers Log: 102 miles this leg, 524 miles total

We are parked at the Elks Lodge in Carmichael, just east of Sacramento. The good news is the lodge has 14 RV spaces with electricity and water. The bad news is they were full and we are parked in the overflow area. We arrived yesterday (6-3) at about 1:30PM. Janet and I took a 6 mile bike ride on a trail along Lake Natoma. Our ride ended in the front yard of friends Terry and Jennifer Sorenson and Terry met us out front. We had a glass of wine, or two, and headed back to the bus. Jennifer was working late. The sky filled in about 8:00PM and thunder showers moved through the area. We got quite a bit of rain last night, heavy at times. This morning the skys looked threatening again, but cleared off in the afternoon. We took another bike ride along Lake Natoma and saw the Intercollegiate Rowing Association holding their National Championship meet. The top 22 teams in the country are here.

You are going to see a little bear in some photos. This is the Indigo Bear, and he/she is the mascot for a beautiful new RV resort that just opened in Michigan. We will be staying there in July. I am trying to help our bus club win a $5000.00 rally at this place. The more pictures we post with the bear the better. So "bear" with me.

Bye for now,

Ken
