Busses, Trains and Automobiles

Carrying my luggage on the CTA bus to the train station was quite a trek. At least my cool shoes

(thank you, Coleen!) matched my big ole bag of goodies.

As usual, I arrived at ORD so early that American Airlines was still building the plane going to MIA. After a successful check-in - meaning the pink monster weighed in at 49.5 lbs, which is 0.5 of a pound within the restriction - I caught an earlier flight.

Small world #1: My former neighbor, Jenny, was one of the flight attendants, so we were able to catch up over the snacks and wine she sent to me in the back of the bus.

Small world #2: My seat mate was from Lincolnshire, IL, and knows my Aunt Char and Uncle Joe. He was a lovely gentleman who escorted me into the Admiral's Club for my five hour layover before he headed to his home in Jupiter to see his family.
