Devil's Gulch in Garretson, SD

Today started off rainy and wet, overcast, as we left Madison, WI but that did not stop us from seeing Sissy the Cow and the Pink Elephant in DeForest, WI. Fun little sidetrips was on the agenda for today. We also stopped into a Cheese House in WI, I bought some souvenirs and postcards, Aaron bought some string cheese and beef jerky! Back on the road, the rainy mist let up and we were able to stop again on the border of Wisconsin and Minnesota to see the mighty Mississippi River. On our way to see the Jolly Green Giant, we ran into some brief rain storms, which wasn't too bad because they only lasted 5 minutes or so. But it was windy!!! The rest of the ride into South Dakota was a very windy trip. We also stopped at Devil's Gulch in Garretson, South Dakota to see where Jesse James jumped a river to get away from the cops! The land in the city park there was very interesting with cool rock formations and the river flowing through them. We ended our day in Sioux Falls, where we grilled up some chicken for dinner and tapped away on our computers! Tomoorrow's big site to see....The Badlands!!!
