For a small city, this place has a huge number of museums. They have a couple maritime museums, museums of history, a museum devoted to the main political party, a museum of kites, spinning tops (I'm not kidding), human beatufication, government, and many others. By the end of the day, I was definitely museumed-out, but I saw many of them, including an arquetecturally interesting one that is a replica of an old Portugese ship. The first several photos are of and inside that museum. Notice the sign outside of it about shoes. In Asia, you even have to take off your shoes to enter many museums.
