Fulltiming Since January 2008 travel blog

Willis and I are embarking on this New Year with optimism and hope for a happy and bright future for our country and our family. This year promises to be both a joyful and eventful one.

Today we started off 2009 with Keith and Marilyn (Mark and Julia are already back in Miami) and had the pleasure of meeting more of Julia’s side of the family (Marilyn’s mother and sister). Marilyn not only made us a delicious pork and sauerkraut dinner but also served us an awesome lemon meringue pie made from fruit picked fresh off their tree. What a wonderful taste treat!

After an enjoyable visit (and watching the Rose Bowl where USC beat out Penn State… sorry about that Holly E.) we headed out the door with a fresh loaf of Marilyn’s home baked bread and some oranges Keith had just picked. Now we are happily looking forward to the next time our two families come together for a visit.

Let’s hope all goes well at RV World tomorrow as we get some routine maintenance work done on Clyde. If things go as planned we will head back towards Texas, and my upcoming nursing assignment, directly after the service work is completed.

Happy New Year and Happy Travels, Rebecca
