We didn't know what to expect coming in to Nimbin. We had heard it is the drug center of Australia and neither of us were that excited to go there, but that was the stopping point for the bus that day. The town itself is no more than a few blocks and just a few buildings on either side of the road. One bar, one pizza shop, a museum and a few hippy stores. It was one of our favorite places yet. The whole population is extremely laid back and fun. The hostel we stayed at was perfect. They had rooms in all sorts of buildings including the parked train car you can see in the pics. We camped in front of it on the ground. They had free wine for us and in general it was a great, relaxing evening. Would have liked to stay longer as it turns out because there are a couple of nice day trips out of there into the nearby mountains with good bush walks and a place to do 20 meter cliff jumping.
