Darren's World Tour 2008 travel blog

Hi all,

Back in the land of fast Internet, just hanging around for a bus in the town of Nadi (pronounced Nandi if at any stage I have spelt it this way).

Yesterday went for a waterfall tour, just past Sigatoka (a near 2 hour drive). Have forgotten the camera lead so cannot put photos up but it was very good. Only 6 of us went on the tour and had 3 guides. First we went to a Fijian village, and sat round with the Chief of the village, along with other village members for a Kava Ceremony. Wasn't that much though have had many more round the table after dinner back at resort.

We then went for a half hour hike, up a valley to see the waterfall. It was about 20 metres high. Water was very refreshing and there was a pool at the bottom to swim in.

In the afternoon we went to (another!) handicraft centre, funnily enough I did not buy anything. There was a nice BBQ outside though so had that along with fiji bitter for an hour.
