Trip and Life Journal of the Schweikarths travel blog

We pulled out of Houghton at 10:00 A.M after having breakfast at a popular downtown diner overlooking the waterway. We took 26 South to 45 South to interstate 51/39 through Wausau, Wisconsin. We stopped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground and RV Park on Lake DuBay and the shores of the Wisconsin River. As long as we have been traveling around, we are still learning things. You can't judge campgrounds by the price or the rating. We were tired and it was time to stop, so we pulled into a very dusty crowded campground with mostly seasonal rentals. We do have free Wi-Fi, but I don't think that evens up the price of $30.00 for the night. For our RV friends, take this park off your list. Tomorrow we hope to stop somewhere in Illinois, and hopefully pull into Washington Wednesday around noon.
