Park Beach, Coffs Harbour

Well, it's the Harbour at Coffs Harbour.

Coffs coastline.

I swam under that Jetty today.

Fools rush in and so does the Ocean. Mutton Bird Island.

Typical Australian beach town: the water is great but over-development of the shoreline spoils the character of the place. And too many malls, the curse of McDonalds and all the other crap that goes with it.

Nice Hostel but it should be because it's almost brand new.

Only staying a couple of days and although pretty here, it doesn'y make a lot of impact.

The great dividing range runs almost into the ocean in places and that is something to see but the town itself just doesn't do it.

There is a giant concrete Banana here but getting there without a car is awkward and frankly, I can't be bothered.

Most Bananas are grown in Queensland now, not here. They have better conditions or so I've been told.

Went for a walk along the jetty up to Muttonbird Island yesterday. You get fine views of everything from up there. As a bonus, met a Dutch girl and took here out for a drink. Which was nice; goes some way to proving that you really do meet more people when you travel. Holland is worth looking into.
