We had got a good tip off from Team Moriarty-Cole to stay at Casa Cecilia. They were not wrong and as well as extremely good central heating, fresh bread and a cute puppy they provided excellent information about planning a trek in Torres del Paine. Team Moriarty-Cole are 2 friends of ours also on a round the world trip (but starting in South America). We missed them by a day as they caught the Navimag ferry to Puerto Montt last night. We catch the same ferry in a weeks time.

After planning our hike of the "W" in the Torres del Paine we bought supplies in the sparse supermarket and ventured off the next morning.

Puerto Natales is famous for roving packs of dogs and cheap Chilean red wine.
