Alaska Team 2007 travel blog

I first knew I would be going to Thailand at the beginning of last year. The Lord made it clear to me that one of the assignments I was given for the coming year was to go into Burma and pray down the strongholds of the dictatorship in Burma and pray open the gates for the gospel to go into Burma and all the way through China and India. I was also to pray for freedom for the Karen and other tribes in Burma.

At first it did not look like we would be able to enter Burma because of all the problems there but God opened the doors and we went in. I have learn that when we are obedient God will go beyond what we ever thought could happen. God also showed that when He does something He does it in a way that you will know it is Him and Him alone making it possible.

God did not just allow me to go in to Burma but the whole team came and we were all able to get a clear picture of what was going on there. We saw a people greatly oppressed but in spite of that they had smiles on their faces and were never complaining about their condition. We came to encourage them but they encouraged us. I learned what real faith is.

There were many other things I was privileged to do. But most of all my testimony is that God taught me more of who I am in Christ and what he really wants me to do in my life. A relationship with Him is more important first then what I accomplish and He will be able to accomplish more through me when my relationship with Him is what it should be.

I had an awesome time and it was great to work with a team of such mature Christians. I believe God is calling me back to Thailand and I will go back when he opens he door for me to go.
