This is a quick entry, since we headed out at 6:30am for a day of river rafting on the Upper Navua River, in the mountains of Viti Levu, and just got back, it's now 6pm - and happy hour! - and we are ready to relax.
Beautiful day on the water. Dale and I both got tossed at one point - probably more because I catapulted in his direction and took him with me. We were in the front, so it's not unusual that happened. Very wet day, lots of splashing between the three rafts on the water, LOTS of waterfalls. The Upper Navua is an absolutely incredible gorge, and we spent 5.5 hours just in awe at what we were seeing.
This is our 2nd and last night at Crusoe's Retreat, which is just too weird to describe in the time we have available on our internet card. We'll save it for later, hopefully. We can leave you with a picture of the foot pool, and let your imaginations do the rest.
Tomorrow we have a 6am pickup to get us to the marina where we board a 108ft topsail schooner for our four day cruise in the Yasawa Islands. We've been told there's just about nothing there but pretty islands and beautiful blue lagoons, great snorkeling, etc. Not holding our hopes for internet connections. More if we can, take care!
