Central America 2008 travel blog

Lanquin is a small town in the middle of Guatemala alongside a river and surronded by mountains. People here are amongst the most friendly i have ever encountered. Miles fom city life, this place is slow paced but has so much to do. We rented some doughnut tubes and floated down the river though some mild rapids. The hostel was similar to the one in Rio Dulce but much more open. The mix of travlers here was great. Americans, Canadians, IsraeliĀ“s, Aussies, Dutch, Danish and Spanish. We had a good time playing giant Jenga with a dare on each block. Yes, it was a messy drinking game which ended in a group skinny dip in the river at night.
