We spent most of the day at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show. The weather was mixed, sunny one minute and downpour the next. Luckily, we had just sitting down to a cup of coffee in a large refreshment tent when a deluge of rain came down. The flowers and shrubs were wonderful and there was a variety of things to see and do – all concerning gardening. If we lived in the UK, we surely would have bought many plants and garden accessories. By mid afternoon we were on our way across the Pennine mountains to the small village of Selattyn near Oswestry where we had booked a night at The Old Rectory B&B. It was a large and somewhat run down old house, although the room was fine and the hosts were pleasant.
