Luang Prabang....

We made our way up into northern Laos to the Unesco World Heritage city of Luang Prabang. The city has an authentic old town charm, some wonderful temples, and some brilliant scenery along the Mekong river. We spent a day amidst the overwelming number of Wats (temples) and increased our Buddha statue sightings by the hundreds.

We also took a ride out to some picture perfect waterfalls that create overlapping pools at the bottom of the falls. Northern Laos can be excrutiatingly hot during the day so it was nice to cool off and take a dip or two in one of the many jade coloured pools. Luang Prabang is our last stop in Laos before heading to Thailand again.

See you in Thailand....
