Many children are given the chore of looking after younger siblings.
The capital of Laos is an old city that is full of temples and pagodas. We weren't here long enough to see much of the country side. As we drove along the highway, it was common to see older children caring for younger one. Also, squat toilets were much more common than Western style toilets.
