Lauren and David in New Zealand and Fiji 2007-2008 travel blog

Today Lauren wanted to go to the spa - so she suggested I go play some golf. So I made a 11:30 tee time at The Queenstown Golf Club (Kelvin Heights Course) - Lauren made a 12:15 massgae.

I arrived at the golf course and it was suppossed to be one of the prettiest golf courses in the world. Well it didn't dissapoint - It was surrounded by snow capped mountians and the most beautiful lake. I didn't want to play alone - so I waited for someone to tee off on the first tee so I could join them. Eventually 2 18 year old kids approached the first tee (Zach and Blake) and I asked if I could join them - they asked what my handicap was so I told them 9 - and they said sure -- one was a 5 and the other a 12 - They had no golf carts - and I rented shoes (2 sizes to small) and some Mark G type clubs (lol) - It was awesome- shot an 84 and Zach and Blake asked many questions about the states and I asked many about NZ.

I arrived back to the hotel to see my wife snuggled in bed and in her cutest voice she says, "Boo Boo you have been gone all day!!" it was very cute.

We walked around Queenstown and booked some things to do tommorrow and Monday (sorry Lauren wont let me say what because Donna will not sleep!) and we just ate at a fantastic restaurant - Southwest New Zealand style. The weather was a 10 today as I have the worst golfer's (farmers) tan in history. But Lauren is way worse with her sand fly bites her legs look like a 14 years old face during puberty (see pic)

Both Lauren and I are playing golf together in the morning and then off to adventure #1 in Queenstown. We really miss everyone very much and are getting excited that we are in the home stretch of our honeymoon. We thank everyone with the messages they are leaving us as it means a lot to us.
