Hola Amigos,

First of all we would like to say thanks for the comments, they're fun for us to read. If we don't get a chance to write back to everyone, know that we are thinking of you.

We have decided to go to Uruguay today in search of some sand and Sun. We were hoping for 80's, however, it's only in the mid-seventies (I kid, I kid). We have to take a boat to the city of Colonia and then take a bus to the capital city of Montevideo. From Montevideo we'll take another bus North up the coast to Punta del este. From there we'll take another bus to Punta del Diablo or cabo polonial.

Yesterday was a fantastic and energizing afternoon I must say. We were walking and taking to some shop owners and found out that Argentina's president was going to be commnig to the city. Argentina just elected their first female president (She's the wife of the now out-going president Nestor Kirchner). We decided to go join and watch the parade as she was strolling through town. Thousands of people! The air was electric!!! People were chanting, banging loud drums and holding numerous signs in support of their new president. Today was actually her first day to be sworn into office, as she was actually officially elected last Tuesday I believe. To be a part of today's festivites was amazing. We watched her drive by and wave approx. 20 feet in front of us. We hooked up with another backpacker (A guy from Munich, Germany) and took everything in. The emotion of the people here is that they are very proud of their newly elected; she seems to be very well liked.

Ok, there was a lapse in a day and we are now in Uruguay! Today was a long day of boating, busing and navigating. Oh well, should be 80 tomorrow! This town we are in now is Punta del este (very expensive for SA standards). I think we'll head north tomorrow to cabo polonial (next to Brazil). We haven't gotten our brazailian visas yet and need to work on that when we go back to BuenosAires. As soon as we find a computer that has some decent upload speed, we'll attach some photos.

We'll talk soon

p.s. Ignore the grammer, I'm tired and Jessica keeps trying to correct me. Typical wife!!
