Cuckaboro bird - very vocal and sounds like a monkey

No driving today so we went to the jail that was built here. They spell it goal. The jail was built in 1886 so that they could have prsioners to build a breakwater. It was started in 1865 but wasn't in full swing until 1886. In 1903 they decided the breakwater wasn't needed besides the fact that it was not finished. The jail was used during the first world war to house Germans living in Australia. (they did to Germans what we did to the Japaneese). After the war the jail was abandoned. It wasn't saved until 1963 with the govenement turned it into a park. We found a couple of neat beaches, saw some more kangaroos, more birds, and then we visited the local lighthouse. It had a very steep hike that did in Susan. Back at the campground Susan took a million pictures of teh cuckaboro birds. These birds sound like monkeys screeching and hollering in the jungle. This evening we had a group cookout and the caravan supplied salad and desert.
