We spent five nights at the Cherry Hill RV Park in College Park, Maryland. This park is similar to a small city. We purchased tickets for the Metrorail onsite and the Metrobus picked us up each morning. Annie was taken to the All Dogs Club for doggie day care, which I don't believe she really enjoyed.
D.C. is just beyond description. The weather was not agreeable, record heat for October, but we survived and it did cool down considerably the third day. We spent one day at the Air & Space Museum and the National Museum of Natural History. Unfortunately the Museum of American History was closed. The second day we spend at the Holocost Museum, which everyone should see, least we forget what humans are capable of doing to one another. Also went to the Arlington National Cemetery, viewing the Tomb of the Unknow Solider and Kennedy's grave. The third day we visited the Washington monument, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the WWII Memorial. Also drove past the capital building and Union Station.
We only spent three days in the city and agreed we would need to return to view more.
