Ron & Elena's 2007-2010 Travels travel blog

We awoke to another beautiful morning.

One of the many "camping cabins" scattered around the park. They look...

We are seeing more color all the time.

(Elena Writing) The Tygart Lake campground is extremely quiet and we had a good night's sleep. This morning we had a leisurely breakfast of waffles topped with peaches, strawberries and whipped cream. We then took a nice long walk around the campground where we saw many birds and four deer right at our campsite. This campground also has cabins for rent that looked very inviting. We looked in one that was unoccupied. It had a bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen with a nice porch to enjoy the beauty of this place. This is really a very quiet and peaceful place. We would probably stay here another day or two if we were able to get a cell signal.

After lunch we packed up Da Honu and drove back to Grafton, WV. We stopped at the Wal*Mart Supercenter and found we were able to get a cell signal here. We decided to spend the night and continue our journey east tomorrow morning. This Wal*Mart is a supercenter but not open 24 hours. We have never seen a Wal*Mart in such a beautiful location. It is surrounded by beautiful pastures and forests on all sides. It's also very quiet here.
