on long street, the heart of the town

Hi guys

the past 2 days we have been exploring cape town and also been up to the top of table mountain.

We wandered around the waterfront area which has been transformed from a sailors den to a yuppy area much like all other big ity waterfronts. t's really nice, full of restaurants, shopping malls and nice walks!

We also caught the cable car up table mountain (walked up more than enough mountains in the last year!). Wow that thing is high and how cool is it. The cable car floor rotates a full 360' on the way up so that everyone in the car can experiance every view!!

On top of the mountain the views really are fantastic. We walked around the flat bit and saw out to Robbin island in the bay, where Nelson Mandela was held for 20yrs and also saw the cape of good hope where we were the other day. Not even windy up there which was really surprising and there was a fine haze that had settled over the town so it looked pretty cool. We were actually 1083m above sea level, great day!
