Awoke early and got to see the sunrise over the Passamaquoddy Bay. It was quite lovely as the tide was very low and the dawn light illuminated the shallow pools left by the outgoing tide. Shortly after sunrise, however, it began to rain. Drove from St. Andrews on the Sea, New Brunswick to Portland, Maine to visit Leigh and Tom and Lydia Mundhenk. Stayed at the Wal-mart in Falmouth. It was sort of rainy all day and cool but not bad for driving.
Leigh and Tom look good but have their hands full with a 11 ½ year old daughter. Lydia's English is wonderful considering that she arrived only a few years ago. She hardly has an accent. She is a lovely young woman - 5th grade this year. We had a lovely dinner with them. Whenever I see them, it brings back many memories of all the good times we had in Doylestown and on our trips together.
Next time, we'll stay at the Wal-mart in Scarborough because the lot is much bigger.
