Frenchman's Cove - Newfoundland

Corner Brook pulp & paper mill - look closely at the number...

Our last day and a 200 mile drive to the ferry. Gregg elected to just do the 200 miles. I took off in the Jeep and did a loop of about 60 more miles out of Corner Brook to see a little more Newfoundland coast. Drove through quaint fishing towns along the Bay of Islands, beautiful bay with several small but tall islands within.

Corner Brook is the province of Newfoundland & Labrador's 2nd largest city and has only 20,000 residents! There are only 500,000 or so in the entire large province and only 30,000 or so live on the mainland in Labrador. We ment a man who'd just traveled there - he said you can buy a house for about $10,000 there.
