Perce - look at the kinds of grades we are driving and...

We've had 2 days of driving mountain grades. This is such a tiny place and only 4,000 ft mountains but they jut right up from the St. Lawrence, causing curves and 8 - 17% grades for driving. The poor old motorhome and the driver are tired! This is the end of the Appalachian chain of mountains and the national park we stayed in last night had some International Applachian Trail in it. We biked a little and really enjoyed the exhibits about the cod fishing here.

Tonight we are about 100 miles further WEST as we rounded the tip of the peninsula and are headed for New Brunswick tomorrow. The scenery we drive through is outstanding. I feel like we are driving through an art gallery and snap pictures from the windows as we go, trying to capture some of this. Lighthouses, churches, brightly colored houses and wonderful flower gardens are typical. What a lovely place...
