And on over to North Island
Jul 18, 2007
|South Island was hectic and amazing! Where I am currently (on North Island)is a bit isolated and consequently internet access very limited and hugely expensive. Therefore, updates later.
Quick summary of South Island:
Did the night bungy off the Ledge in Queenstown.....scary, but brill!
Finally did the sky-dive......awesome. Want more! Pics on Facebook.
More swimming with wild dolphins in icy cold water. Just out of this world - over 300 of them and now they're all my friends! Pics also on Facebook.
Snowboarding - so much fun it hurts!
Went to the All Blacks vs Springboks rugby international. Wicked - especially the Hakka. Makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up (not that I've got any of course!). Again, pics on Facebook.
Had my 22nd Birthday. Travel friends were brilliant. Breakfast in bed, I ask you!! Cake and a party wwooooo!
Lots more and people fun but haven't time now to update. Will get round to it soon.
Moved on to North Island now and heading for Rotorua. Ferry across from South Island took about 3 and a half hours. Got lucky and it was as smooth as.....the back of my neck (- see above!!). Will be here for about 3 weeks and then I head out of Auckland, saying bye bye to New Zealand and head for British Columbia in Canada.
