Permanent brace for pole so if wind gets up jib can be...

The boys saying goodbye to Jenya

Early start this morning at 6 am to make Sharm el Sheikh by tomorrow sometime -depending on the wind! Not much at the moment we have the main up with the motor running. We are expecting the wind to fill in from behind later in the day.

Well the wind definitely filled in! Up to 35 knots from behind and quite a swell. We were doing 8 to 9 knots with a reefed headsail.

Sharm el Sheikh is known as one of the best diving and snorkeling sites.

Rick has brought a few great CD's on board. The best of these we are listening to all the time. Every song is so good. They are all part of the Putumayo Presents World Music. Our favourite at the moment is American Folk! The others are Blues Around the World, The Caribbean and One World, Many Cultures.

Jenya, the Russian crew member left the boat in Sharm el Sheikh.
