Cherating is a small village that was once a very busy holiday place for Malaysian, Singaporeans and foreign tourists, but now feels like a ghost town (at least during the weekdays). With the economy taking a drop in 1997 and with 9/11, this town has really felt it. Only in the last year, have tourists started coming back....but this was good for us hey!

The beach is a 10km stretch (part of a 250km stretch of beach from Kuala Besut to Kuantan) of golden sand that is a walker's paradise!

The food here is cheap cheap and one can still buy beer from one of the many Chinese run restaurants ... yeh!

We're winding it down, but we'll still try to shoot some decent shots between the lazy days at the beach.
