Debs Goes Walkabout 2004 travel blog

Well, back on my own again and back by the beach. Another winding journey back down to sea level, a change of bus and a short ferry ride later, I arrived at Pangkor. The boat was packed with locals celebrating Deepavali and the Muslim festival of Hari Raya. However, I found a place to stay near the beach in Teluk Nipah. The bunglaow was ok-ish, but the smell of mothballs was a bit nauseating after a while!!

Still, a plesant couple of days were spent lounging on the beach and dodging the huge jellyfish. Not much else to report - to be honest the place was a bit too quiet for me and shops etc had really weird opening times so that after two nights of chilling out, I headed to the bustle of Kuala Lumpur.
