But wow, what an amazing trip i've had!

Wow, I was here last 8 years ago and I loved it then and I love it now! Have spent my 5 days doing some serious Christmas shopping, and some touristy things I didn't have time for last time - walking over Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Metropolitan Museum of Art, going to the top of the Rockefeller Centre, etc etc...

Looked up Sarah, which is a New Yorker girl I met when I was in Cairns and she took me out for one amazing evening! We started at the best Mexican i've ever been to, with the strongest Sangria i've ever had, and then she showed me New York's sex shops! Oh that was a laugh...for a start we were assumed lesbians because of just walking in together, and then the world's most hyper employee is practically bursting at the seams trying to show us all the toys, which she assures us she has tried and tested, great(!) and because Sarah speaks Hebrew so was chatting to the manager, he even gave her a free gift! (I'm not telling you what!) Then she whisked me off to some beautiful little shops where I bought a jewellery box from Tibet! Then we hit the bars, first stop is some 'local' pub with a seriously talented guitar/singer giving it her all, and then on to some random upmarket bar where we had cocktails with a platter of 10 cheeses! We were pretty gone by this stage, so we try to find the nearest metro and accost some poor old guy's scarf, follwed by some biker, and then she gets caught sneaking into my hostel so has to pay th $44 a night fee! Oh, such fun, she's a great girl!
