Me and the castle

Susanne and I with the castle behind

We woke up this morning to pouring rain. Got checked out of the hostel after eating breakfast and walked over to the Busabout station for 7:15am with our backpacks. Our bus tour was mostly aussie couples and other aussies and a few of us Canadians. Our tour guy was Debs and our driver was Kate. Once on the road we all had to gt up on the microphone one by one and introduce ourselves. Traffic in London is so bad and it took an hour to get out of the city.

Our first stop was Chepstow to check out a castle and to stand between the border of England and Wales. It was really windy. Our next stop was Tintern Abbey. An old monastery that had it's roof and windows taken out by King Edward. It is basically a ruin now.

We stoped in Caerphilly for lunch and walked around a castle ruin. We made our way to Abergavenny for the evening. Susanne and I went out for dinner for her birthday and then met up other people on tour in the pub at our hostel. They put on a quiz game for us and our team won. We got a bottle of wine for it.

They had a little dance floor with a dj pumping out tunes haha so us and a few aussie girls and a girl from Edmonton danced a bit. I got everyone together to sing Happy Birthday to Susanne. We stayed in a 14 bed dorm room that night. Not exactly fun but it was a bed.
