Our 'Ultimate Lei' Awesome Adventure began early morning on Monday the 24th April. We left the Nadi Bay Hotel and took the big yellow coach to Denarau to catch our big yellow Yasawa Flyer to the beautiful Yasawa Islands. From the moment we left land we realised how special these Islands are, with no phones, atms, newspapaers and really any contact to the outside world it really is like nowhere we've been. The paradise of the rest of the world no longer existing cannot really be put into words but they don't brand themselves awesome adventures for nothing. Our first stop was at the Nanya Leavui... group and the brand spanking new Manta Ray Resort. We arrived early afternoon and were greated by the gorgeous Fijean people who welcomed us with a gourmet all you can eat buffet and traditional beautiful Fijean songs. We had an amazing bure on the beach set in amongst palm trees and hammocks and spent the afternoon lazing on the beach and snorkeling in the sea, to say we were in paradise would be an understatement. As the sun went down we went for cocktails in the restaurant hut which overlooked the islands picture perfect postcards scenary:) We stayed up drinking red wine and nattering until the early hours of the morning with fellow islanders Heloise, Paul and Tom ending the night with Tom serenading the Island with I'm forever blowing bubbles:)

After only a few hours sleep Tbag & Squeezer awoke the next day and cured their hangovers by swimming in the sea for sunrise....this was followed by an all you can eat buffet breakfast and lazing in hammocks while waiting for our transfer to our next island. Our time on Manta Ray was brief but truely wonderful, all that exists here is Sun, Sea and wonderful stretches of Sand!
