Traditional healer

Lesotho- April 28

A group of 4 jump into a Toyota 4x4 and we head up a winding road ( no guard rails- Africa) up the Dragensberg to a border post only manned on the S.A side. The views along the way are breathtakingly clear. After a few laughs with the border guards, who remind us that they close at 4:00, we increse our speed to 10 kph along the winding track. There has not been a cloud in the sky since we arrived here in the Bergs 5 days ago. We visit a school and and an interesting traditional woman healer. She explains how she became a healer through our guide/ translator. By the time we sample some local food and home brew it is time to head back over the rocks and 4 river crossings to the border. One of our group decided to stay with the local principal which creates room for some local hitchhikers that we pick up and drop off along the way. GREAT DAY ! The Bergs and outdoor activities make this an attractive return visit destination.
